Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office Confirms Complaint, 3 Months Later Still No Charges
The following ‘Letter To The Editor’ was emailed by Felicia Mabry. According to electronic records, a notarized affidavit of child molestation allegations levied against Willie Mabry was sent to an investigator by Felicia Mabry, and excerpts of the child’s statements are included below. Willie Mabry is the Grambling City Accountant and the pastor of Zion Traveler’s Baptist Church in Monroe, LA.
In a video taped telephone interview, The Fount spoke with a woman from the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office who confirmed the existence of a child molestation complaint against Willie Mabry. The source said the complaint was made in June, their department received this matter in August, it was still under investigation and no charges have been brought against Mabry as yet.
No explanation was offered as to why it’s taken 3 months for charges to be brought, but allegations of a cover-up by judges (names provided being confirmed) and other influential people at the church where Willie Mabry pastors were also made by Felicia Mabry who wrote in a separate email:
“Willie Earl Mabry has told me repeatedly that he controls the judges in the city of Monroe, LA because he has several ties to judges within his congregation ___ that he can manipulate at any time to “get me out of any jam I might get in to. I run this”.
The Fount also interviewed a former church member who wished to remain anonymous to investigate Felicia Mabry’s claims. He said he believes Mrs. Mabry regarding the alleged child molestation, and claims to have left Willie Mabry’s church because when he saw how the issue was being handled, “I did not want to be part of that.”
Portions of the child’s account below were transcribed from a video tape, and while the entirety will not be included in this post, trust us when we say it is for mature audiences only and definitely not for the faint of heart.
The child’s statements are quoted in purple print below according to Felicia Mabry’s transcription. To protect the identity of this minor child, the parentheses ( ) indicate where graphic details and identifying information have been omitted from the original transmission.
Due to what she believes is an unwarranted delay of justice and considering she has been in seclusion for the past few months out of fear of being harmed by Willie Mabry, Felicia Mabry requested friends, family and as many people as possible to contact the Ouachita Parish DA’s office to demand justice in order that her daughter may finally have her day in court, that they can put all this behind them and begin to heal.
Felicia Mabry’s and the child’s allegations are serious, the implications are huge and our investigation is ongoing. –The Fount

It was threeish in the morning, ( )I felt bad in that what did I do, how did I do… with my father, I felt mad, angry at him because I never knew that he would try to hurt me. I love him and after all that happened I was still kinda scared cause he was trying to hurt me. Um… still kinda shocked about it. I’m trying my best to recover.
Everyone has been there for me and I know that my family loves me and I know that everyone is trying their best to help me… even my mom and family and sister and brother and all of them and that’s it. To Whom This Matter Concerns,
We have received many questions as to why this matter has been published here on the internet and have noted in the accompanying comment section that this blog is an open forum where people are free to express their opinions and matters of concern.
After Felicia Mabry wrote a Letter To The Editor of this blog, spoke with us and allowed her child to speak with us and ask her anything we wanted to ask; and after Felicia Mabry provided us with a signed affidavit of the allegations and we confirmed the existence of a complaint on file with law enforcement, we felt it would be completely inappropriate and insensitive to deny Felicia Mabry the right to have her views expressed; especially after she relocated the child in question and her family for concerns of their safety while waiting for a resolution for the past 3 months.
Each of the people who questioned us as to why we published this matter have made no mention of the child or the child’s needs in this matter, admitted they have not spoken with the child for themselves, and in so many words only expressed their desire to have their pastor Willie Mabry’s name cleared.
But when we direct these who accuse us of unfairly making this issue known to the public BACK to the law enforcement entities who had not so much as ordered a DNA test that would confirm or deny the accusations and possibly clear their pastor’s name and silence Felicia Mabry’s accusations on behalf of the child with hard evidence for 3 whole months so far, there seems to be no interest in that regard. Why?
It’s amazing that those who wish us to consider both sides of the story have not gotten both sides of the story themselves. The lack of concern for the child is bad enough, but to badger the mother and NOT pressure the ones who make a legal and definitive determination in this matter in our opinion is baffling, counterproductive and highly suspect.

OMG!!! I feel so bad. I remember a time of seeing Mr. Willie Mabry and the violence he can exume from his body. He is a very controlling person. He is also very demanding and he feels that if he doesnt get what he wants than he can take it by force. I am so ashamed that this has happened to this young child. I guess the reason why I feel so bad aslo is because I remember that he went off on a couple of us at the city hall and the way he did it was so tormenting that maybe if we had spoke up about it sooner than maybe this would not of happened to this young lady. It was not sexual, but it was violent. I remember leaving the office and calling and crying to the mayor that I am sorry that I was not able to stay there and that the man had became violent over a binder that belonged to me. He wanted it so bad that he actually became violent. he had started calm and collected, kind of a dead calm, when asking for it. When I explained to him that it was not the binder he thought it was and that it was my personal binder with my own copies of information he began to demand it from me. I told him that it was in his best interest to ask the mayor for what it was he was looking for and not me, and that she had stated that if there was anything that he needed than he needed to go to her with it. He became so ANGRY. I remember he got out of his chair and came and stood up over me and began to make a statement against the mayor and how HE WAS THE ADMINISTRATOR AND WE BOTH ANSWERED TO HIM. He grabbed the binder so hard from my desk and violently that it hit me and fell apart and all my copies hit the floor. I was so upset I walked out of the office and called the mayor who happened to be out ill from all the prior torments that had been going on in the office behind the city council. I let her know what was going on and that I needed her to come right away. A couple days later I received the binder back, of course with missing information, and from that point on I was told that I had deposits that were missing from the binders belonging to the city hall. Mabry was wrong because the binder he was looking for at the time was not at the city hall it was with the Head Accountants who were verifying at the time that all my deposits matched what they had in their system, and the binder he snatched from me was mine as stated before since I kept extra copies of everything. I learned than that Mr. Mabry can be a very violent man, and he tends to show it to women as if his status of who he is means women are less and have to do what he says or bow to him. I remember him making a comment before that me coming from California meant that I was ghetto, since he assumed I was from Los Angelas, and he could speak to me as if I was a street woman. First of all I was not born in California nor am I originally from there, second I was not raised in the ghetto, and if I had been does not give him the right to treat any woman that way, and third I went to the best private schools and graduated with top honors by the age of fifteen and finished college by the age of nineteen. I also seen him mistreat the mayor and blatantly go against her rules and advise in the office as well as outside of the office and pressure her into doing things against other employees that she did not want to do. It has to do with that calm dead coldness that he approaches women with and again as stated before if you don’t do it than he gets angry.
I will keep this young girl in my prayers, and again I am so very sorry for the hurts and pain that you had to go through. God will always be there for you. God Bless.

I know that Willie Mabry did this! I don’t doubt it for a second. He is evil and people don’t really know him. Why is that church still letting him preach!!! What is wrong with the leadership? This is to the Editor in Chief of the Fount: Before you print anything, you need to investigate to make sure you have the facts. Because I know the real Felicia Mabry. Being a minister of the gospel yourself, I find it incomprehensible that you would publish trash such as this about a fellow minister without make sure that you are publishing the facts. There are actually Godfearing, legitimate, true and honest ministers that would not even think of doing what Rev. Mabry has been accused of. He is such a minister.
Now let me tell you something about the “real” Felicia Mabry – that tried to tear down the church ministry and accused every woman of going with her husband. The same Felicia Mabry who if you were to investigate – since you said in your bio that you once was a private investigator – would find an illuminating and fascinating background. You might want to check it out – I’m sure you have the contacts to do it. That same Felcia Mabry that cares so much about her child – one week after her allegations went on a cruise with her girlfriend; and that same Felicia Mabry who stood before the church begging people for money with her child sitting in the middle of the church in a chair; that same Felicia Mabry running around the mall telling everyone she knows of this incident displaying her child – but she is a caring mother; I’ll give you time to digest all of this – and challenge you to prove me wrong.
This is just the tip of the iceberg – and the Titantic haven’t even gone down yet!!!!

In my opinion the child’s statements were compelling. Couple that with the mother having filed a police report and providing me with a signed affidavit of the allegations, it would be completely inappropriate for me to deny Felicia Mabry the right to have her views expressed.
I heard about this issue several weeks ago from 2nd and 3rd hand sources and resisted publishing anything at all, that is until I spoke with the child for myself and realized that 3 months is way too long for nothing to have been done in the way of proving or disproving the matter while a child hangs in the balance.
Your allegiance to your pastor is honorable and admirable, however the only mention regarding the CHILD you’ve made so far is that Felicia Mabry has been displaying her child around while soliciting help.
While your attention is on Felicia Mabry, I’m concerned about the child. Have you spoken to this child, heard her story and the despair in her voice for yourself? Or is that the whole point S. Darensbourg – are you accusing Felicia Mabry of putting her child up to faking this whole thing?
If I were in your shoes, let’s say I was in your church and I believed the pastor was innocent and supported the pastor like you do. If I saw people leaving the church because of this issue, I’d be mad at the ones making ‘false allegations’ too and I’d be busting my tail to conclude this matter and get my pastor vindicated.
This is what baffles me about your comments.
If you or anybody else wanted to prove your pastor was innocent, where is your righteous indignation for the legal/law enforcement system taking so long while Felicia Mabry is free to continually make public accusations?
While you seek to trash Felicia Mabry, from where I sit Felicia Mabry is not the crux of the issue. Either the child is lying and your pastor is innocent or the child is telling the truth and your pastor is guilty.
So far, you have made no mention of pressing the law enforcement entities handling this matter to prove or disprove the allegations. Bishop Eddie Long is facing similar allegations. His congregation is still standing behind him. He has yet to say; I did not coerce those young men into having sex with me. Yet he says “I never said that I was a perfect man” What is heaven does that mean? Whether he said he was perfect or not me know that man is not perfect. He is too in love with him self to even believe he can be wrong.
Those sinful preachers stand up in the pulpit and spout off scriptures that suit and protect their wrong doings. Is there any man or woman among us to stand up to those perverts? Exercise your own mind people. Don’t blindly follow your pastor to hell. Exercise your rights. A pastor is responsible to the church. It is your tithes and offerings that got him where he is. Truth of the matter is we all have clay feet. This is not to make excuse for any body, just plainly put: ALL have sinned and fallen short. We tend to lift pastors up on a pedestal and the problem with that is two fold: some of us depend on them more than God, and some of them LET us! Then when they fall, we fall too!
This brings me to a brief discussion about this gospel of grace (unmerited, undeserved favor); grace is NOT a license to sin the way some preach it: “you can’t out-sin God’s grace!” Alright true statement, but bring the other side of that too!
If you have any spiritual wherewithal and fortitude within you; you’ll have some kind of appreciation of the gravity of your sins by recognizing what Jesus endured on our behalf: a scourging with a cat of nine tails with jagged bits of broken bone embedded in the straps in order tear the flesh open with each stroke. The Bible says Jesus was beaten to the point of being unrecognizable BEFORE he went to that old rugged cross where He then died an excruciating death. THEN he endured the equivalent of eternity in hell on our behalf in order that our souls could be SAVED.
Ever see Mel Gibson’s “Passion of the Christ?” If that scene don’t bring some tears, check your pulse! If we keep that vision of His crucifixion before us more often, saved folk will sin less! Without that view of the cross there can be NO appreciation or gratitude of what Jesus endured on our behalf, and one is prone to take advantage of God’s grace and run buck wild in sin!
Connie Mac, Willie Mabry hasn’t been charged or convicted at this point yet – these are allegations only so far. But your point is well taken that sexual deviants are particularly offensive. Paul dealt with that issue by chastising a congregation because they tolerated mess they shouldn’t have been tolerating, and Paul instructed them to discipline such an one by putting his tail out, in essence hand him over to Satan to remind him how serious this thing is and that he better repent before leaving this earth: “To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Pray for us preachers, because Satan comes after the head of churches to take the whole church down by any means necessary- catch my drift? Pray for MY strength in the Lord too! Amen?
I’ve learned – YES, know a tree by the fruit it bears, but at the same time never point fingers (CONDEMN) somebody for what they may have done or not done because you can find yourself in the very thing you condemned somebody else for… Hello????? Indeed, the silent majority in ‘churches’ are the least talked about problem; failing to discipline such an one – don’t matter WHO he is pastor or no pastor.
Said all that to say this, please don’t think that wolves in sheep’s clothing represent ALL preachers. Jesus warned us this kind of stuff would be going on in the last days 2,000 years ago and He gave the commandment to His disciples: be not deceived. That burden of responsibility is on US not to be deceived. Mrs. Mabry did not go on a cruise a week after her child was alleged to have been molested. I know this for a fact because I was with her throughout that entire time so get your facts straight. That is beyond ridiculous and for you to say such a thing, shows that you don’t know her at all. As a mother, I can only imagine the stress of such allegations. Mrs. Mabry has had a lot on her plate raising those kids even before this. She has handled it all with class, grace and efficiency. All of those kids are honor students. They are all well behaved. They are always very well and neatly dressed and quite polite. Mrs. Mabry has always made sure that all of her children are well provided for and she accomplishes this of her own accord. Again, I was with her during the time you claim she was on vacation. Therefore, what you are claiming to be truth is pure hearsay that you had to get from an unreliable source. The answer is simple, people like you take the focus off the real issue at hand and divert justice.

Well based on this logic, if Felicia is capable of committing indidelity along with Willie, isn’t she capable of lying as well??? Makes you wonder doesn’t it. And I wonder why Willie hasn’t been charged yet. Maybe an investigation has been done and it turns out the girl was lying. As of now, the man hasn’t been charged with anything and some of you are already convicting him. The sad truth is that men do not commit repeated acts of rape and then decide, “Gee, I think I’ll try this again thirty years later.” These previous acts of rape involved young female minor children! I too have seen, held and read the reports for myself. It is a matter of public record. There is a great likelihood that Rev. Mabry has been getting away with this for years. We do not want to bash Rev. Mabry but he is clearly not what he has portrayed himself to be. The FBI and Baltimore, MD sexual abuse/ literal rape reports can not be disputed. Just like with the Catholic priests, when one person has the strength to come forward, many more will follow in the name of justice. If you have been a victim or if you know of any other victims, know that you are not alone. I applaud Mrs. Mabry for her courage. She is fighting for the protection of OUR children. If this woman can go through the fire on our children’s behalf, at the very least, we can stand with her to protect our very OWN children. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. Satan is the author of confusion. Willie Mabry has brought much confusion into the City of Grambling and also into the Zion Traveler Baptist Church. It only stands to reason that he possibly brought confusion into his own home as well. Any true man of God would have the decency to resign/step down from that church, pending the investigation results. That is the only right thing to do. Satan is not about right. The church leaders have an obligation to the membership and more importantly to God. It seems that the most important elements are getting the least amount of concentration in that being GOD and this innocent child. That fact that Willie Mabry attempted to deceive and conceal this pertinent information from the Zion Traveler Baptist Church, shows that he did not come there with clean hands or with good intent but to destroy and hinder God’s work. That alone should be grounds for dismissal. If he is allowed to remain, there may very well be no church to go to.
What kind of mother is she? A mother would want to shield her child from further scrutiny. It has been the policy of rape crisis centers around the country to keep the victims identity a secret. This is not to protect the accused but the victim. Children are cruel and to subject her child to the cruelty that could be placed upon her child by other children and by adults is a matter that this mother has to deal with. I understand her frustration. But this is not about her, it is about helping her child to heal and IF Rev. Mabry is guilty of such a crime, the courts will decide and God will judge. But a mother needs to look out for her child. Maybe child protection should be contacted to see just what kind of mother is she. The whole world has access to this information which could not only do harm to Rev. Mabry, but could cause more stress for a young girl who has to deal with an adult situation in the public eye. Everyone is not going to believe her there are some people who are loyal to the Rev. How are you going to help this young girl or is this about something else?
