Truly, it is a fearful thing to see God totally undress a situation:
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12″
Some only want to be associated with God because of the blessings He provides without fully surrendering their lives to His will. This state of deception leads them to maintain a very dangerous and self-destructive arm’s-length relationship with Him; doing ‘churchy’ things, trying to look and sound ‘churchy’ in front of certain folk.
They think they are in God’s good graces, run to God or who they think God is when they get in trouble, but know full well they have no interest in renewing their minds by taking the time to study God’s Word and pray or spend personal alone time with Him.
This is not out of guilt or fear, but out of sheer arrogance/pride that shows up in the unGodly attitudes and behaviors they maintain despite what they know God’s Word to say.
They think they are hiding from God and others, but according to the scripture “As he thinketh so is he” EVERY meditated thought and intent of the heart manifests into a PHYSICAL reality for everybody to see even if they think nobody sees them at all: “The emperor has no clothes on!”
BE REAL because lukewarm ‘Christians’ make God SICK:
“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Revelation 3:15-16″
