The Ministry Of A Health Evangelist
A conversation between God’s grace and our faith needs to take place!
God’s grace says:
“But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5″
“For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men. Lamentations 3:3″
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. III John 1:2″
If we are to receive these truths and make them a reality in our lives, with our lips our FAITH must verbally reply:
“I believe you Lord, I receive ALL that prophesy into my life and I vow to do whatever You say to make Your healing power flow abundantly in my life.”
When He tells us to do things that don’t line up with our current mindset, we must be willing to do them anyway. CHANGE is the order of the day. And there must be no doubt in our minds as to whether God wants us to be healed.
Jesus healed everybody who ever asked Him to. He even bore the lashes from a cat of nine tails that had chips of bone embedded in each leather strip; His flesh was torn open and He bled for us in order that we could be healed!
When one considers the timing and location of Jesus’ entry into human history, His crucifixion occurred when death penalty treatment was the ABSOLUTE cruelest.
Such public and torturous scourging of an individual; flogging one’s naked body with a cat of nine tales that had chips of bone embedded into each leather strip in order to rip flesh with each stroke of the whip is considered extremely evil and outlawed in our day.
God the Father specifically chose that day in time and place for the crucifixion of His only begotten Son and Jesus was obedient unto death, even the death of this cross. And do you think they cleaned and sanitized that whip each and every time they used it on different people?
Jesus took each and every stroke of that nasty cat of nine tails and the miracle making HEALING power from His perfect, sinless, heavenly body and holy blood was released into this earth’s atmosphere with each lashing… each lashing that He took released the healing power of God into our atmosphere, God’s healing power from heaven itself flowed out of Jesus and into this physical realm – and that healing power is available to you and I right now! Do we REALLY grasp this truth?
“Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. Luke 9:1-2″
Not all preachers believe this, but God wants to use His preachers to heal you; GOD WANTS YOU HEALED: mind, body & soul! HALLELUJAH! Claim your blessing – AMEN!
There should be no doubt in our minds as to whether it’s God’s will for us to be healed. So if we’re in a state of bad health, if we have some kind of chronic disease that the doctors want to MANAGE for the rest of our lives, if we accept the lies that they tell us about our diseases being incurable, that means we believe Man over and against what GOD said in His Word – and that mindset will become our reality.
The medical and pharmaceutical industry as a whole wants to MANAGE your chronic illnesses by keeping you on their drugs – but Jesus wants to make you free! Jesus wants to HEAL you and make you whole the way God designed you to be!
But some of us have grown comfortable with swallowing sterile synthetic drugs that have no life! While Man seeks to synthetically reproduce God’s healing power found in plants, put a patent on it and charge us hundreds of billions of $$$ per year – some of us submit our very lives to that worldly system rather than trust the True and Living God.
By Satan’s design, arrogant, sinful and unregenerate Man’s accusation against God is this: “God has no ability or desire to heal us, so we will heal ourselves with what WE create. We can do this thing better than God, we don’t need plants – we can come up with something better. Look at our technology! We can split the atom! We’ve unlocked the DNA Code of mankind. We can solve our own health problems!”
Oh yeah? Well how is Man’s way of doing things working for us?
In Genesis 6:3 God said “My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.”
What percentage of the population is living to be 120? Man says that our life expectancy should only be about 70 or 80 years, we accept this in our minds, believe it in our hearts and because the Lord said ‘as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he” what we think about we BRING about – and 70 or 80 years is all we GET!
I don’t know about you – but I want at least 120 healthy, vibrant and strong years on this earth according to God’s will and NOT Man’s limited expectations. I want to be utilized for God’s glory way beyond what THEY say is the average life expectancy of a Black man!
If Man is so doggone smart with all his newfangled technology, why are OUR friends and loved ones sick as dogs and dropping dead like flies at the age of 40 years and younger? Why are young people getting diseases that only older people used to get? Why are we getting sicker and sicker even though we use so called wonder drugs?
And if they are really WONDER drugs, why do they have so many side effects, and why do we need another drug and another drug and another drug to get rid of side effect after side effect?
We have met the enemy, and the enemy is not the medical industry. We have met the enemy and the enemy is not the pharmaceutical industry. We have met the enemy and in this case the enemy is not even the Devil! The Devil is an enemy to be dealt with, but the most overlooked enemy is our OWN unbelief.
God placed His healing power in the earth by way of fruits, vegetables and herbs way before He placed Man in the earth. WHERE did all these fruits, vegetables and herbs come from? Think about it, they came from God Himself in heaven where God dwells! He placed them here in this earth realm – they are trees of life – they are sources of LIFE itself!
They contain vital nutrients which sustain life in the human frame and if we reject vegetables, fruits and herbs – we reject what our bodies need to maintain health and survive in this physical realm. Our genetic code is designed to respond favorably to these plants. You might be a Child of God, you might be Born Again, you might be on your way to heaven but your physical body will always need specific nutrients from the earth.
When we get cut, over time that cut is supposed to heal on it’s own because God designed our bodies that way. If we have a chronic illness that the doctors say is incurable – something’s UP, something is amiss, something is not lining up with God’s Word and will for our lives- and we need to find the root of that issue. And I guarantee you that a lack of synthetically produced pharmaceutical drugs, chemo, and radiation in our system is NOT the problem!
God is NOT crazy, stupid or negligent. There is no possible way that God would create us in His own image and likeness for us to worship Him, be used for His glory in this earth, for Him to make these physical bodies the temple of His own Holy Spirit and He NOT give us everything we need physically in order to be all He created us and expects us to be: vibrant, healthy and strong to live long and give Him glory.
Since God said in His unbreakable Word that we should have 120 years, and we see people in the Bible living way past 120 years (Noah finished building the ark at the age of 600!)- then that should be sufficient evidence for Believers (key word: BELIEVERS) to conclude that God provides everything we need both physically and spiritually to have a long, prosperous, productive and vibrant life – way beyond the 40-80 years we’re living now.
This is not a matter as to whether God wants us to be healed and live a vibrant and prosperous life, because He has already proven that He does. This is a matter of our own belief in HIM and His will for our lives. Knowledge of these facts is not belief; faith without works is dead. God has His own SYSTEM of life and it’s so simple that it confounds the wisdom of this world we live in.
The anointing God places on the Believer’s life through faith includes the ability to understand and execute supernatural principles. By faith, I claim my 120+ years on the earth if God delays the 2nd coming of Christ!
And it is SO unless it’s God’s will to take me home sooner, because God said in His Word according to our faith “be it unto you”, “as a man thinketh so is he” and that if we believe that those things that we say shall come to pass without doubting in our heart, that we shall have WHATEVER we say. (Matthew 15:28, Prov. 23:7, Mark 11:22-24) By faith, we must claim our healing and declare our own longevity. Praise God!
If we accept what the world says is “average life expectancy” then just like Michael Jackson told his wife at the time Lisa Marie Presley that he believed he would die at an early age before his time in similar fashion to her father Elvis Presley – we will get exactly what we expect and say!
What we think about, we bring about – and this is because God designed us
to be speaking spirits just like Him: in His image and in His likeness. Whatever our mindset is lined up with, whether it be God’s Word or the anti-Christian words of the flesh/world; the results we get in life will be based on the thing we set our mind to and the words we speak from that mindset.
“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. I Peter 2:24″
“WERE” healed? That means by faith, Believers are healed already! So despite our symptoms, we need to verbally out loud declare that we are healed, thank God for our healing over and over again, obey what He tells us to do to be healed, and watch what happens!
And yes, although it’s not commonly practiced in our day, God uses His preachers to identify life-threatening health conditions and to instruct His people on how to be healed by God.
As a health evangelist, I have had the wonderful opportunity to be used by God in the healing of many people by laying hands on them, anointing them with oil and praying the prayer of faith over their lives. I advised them according to the Word that there is no magic in the oil and that God works through our belief in Him and our obedience, and not one time has God ever failed to come through. Praise God!
Indeed, God heals supernaturally instantly on the spot at times and slowly over time depending on the situation and the faith of the one being healed. He spoke to me concerning the root cause of our illnesses and I concluded that it makes no sense to heal somebody again and again if they keep running back to the same thing that made them sick.
God said that His chosen people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge, and it’s not because His knowledge is unavailable. The Spirit of the Lord is speaking to His Church, but are we listening and obeying? Are we utilizing the trees of healing and life that He already placed here? Are we seeking His wisdom and guidance in these matters through fellow Believers who specialize in these matters and are we doing the things He already told us to do?
This is not about us living forever in these corrupt sinful bodies of flesh, because God promised to change the Believer’s mortal bodies into immortality – and we anxiously await that day:
“So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. I Corinthians 15:54″
This is all about living out our fullest potential in this life; maximizing our usefulness to God with the help He has already made available to us. If we really consider what God says about it, we will discover and act on the fact that we are HEALED ALREADY!
